Features

The MSI Live Update online is designed to automatically download and update the BIOS and driver when there’s a new version online. It helps reduce the risk of getting the wrong file and minimize the trouble of searching the files from MSI website.

•Attention:
G31M2 V2 supports dual channel memory technology. When using dual channel memory, the bandwidth of memory bus will be doubled.
G31M2 V2 has 4 DIMM memory slots. Each dual channel needs 2 slots.
They are:
Channel 0: DDR2 1, DDR2 2 (DIMM1and DIMM2)
Channel 1: DDR2 3, DDR2 4 (DIMM3 and DIMM4)
Due to the limitation of chipsets, if you want to activate dual channel technology, the following installation notes are necessary when installing memory modules.
1. It cannot be activated if you only install 1 or 3 memory modules.
2. If 2 or 4 memory modules are installed, we suggest that you use the same memory modules (it means same size, brand, and speed).
Please refer to the table 1 to activate dual channel memory technology.
