Intel 6 Series Chipset Design Error Temporary Solution

Due to Intel 6 series chipset design error, MSI new 6 series motherboard are influenced in this case, the problem may degrade performance or not find your hardware devices on SATA 3Gbps ports during the period of time operating at the new platform, but you still can run normally on MSI 6 series motherboard in provisional way.

We suggest users who have purchased MSI related products, plugging the specific SATA 6Gbps ports delivered by Intel or Marvell chipset, there’re some directions in the following.

How to use?

Plug your HDD on SATA 0&1 or SATA 7&8 ports(white) from P67/H67 chipset or Marvell SE9128 to avoid the SATA II ports issue from Intel sandy bridge platform
 

Step 1



Choose the SATA 0&1 or 7&8 ports(white)

Step 2



Plug your HDD on specific SATA ports(white) and power on PC


 

Step 3



Install the Intel or Marvell driver


 

Step 4



Restart PC , and finished
