The CX480 feature MSI’s own integrated software (Time Stamp technology) and hardware shock protection, providing two layers of data defense.

Time stamp automatically backs up and restores information

We've found ourselves scratching our heads after experiencing situations like these—your computer starts lugging; you get a virus from a download; you lose a file you forgot to save.

The CX480 come with MSI’s Time Stamp which solves all problems dealing with data back up and restoration with one button. Preventing data loss couldn’t be simpler.

Rock-solid hard drive protection

To safeguard against damage due to drops, the hard drive is placed in the safest place in the laptop and then packed in reinforced protection to form a sort of “air bag,” providing solid protection.

Smart Brightness Adjustment for Optimal Lighting

The CX480 automatically adjust screen brightness and power expended in accordance with the lighting in the surroundings, making computer use easier on your eyes, while minimizing power expended.

Variations in screen brightness of other NBs are very obvious, while the CX480’s screen is much more subtle, making fine adjustments with minor changes in ambient lighting.

You can go from power off to power on by simply opening up the cover. Doing so initiates the smart boot up without you ever pressing the power button.

Dust Proof Design- USB3.0 & HDMI

MSI placed a cover over the HDMI and USB 3.0 slots to protect them when they are not in use, not only keeping dust out, but also giving the exterior of the CX480 cleaner, more minimalisticlines.

Four LED indicator lights are located next to the power switch to inform you about battery power levels. The design keeps you informed about how much power you have left—four lights indicatea full charge, fewer lights denote less battery power.
