
MSI Technology Supporting Sustainable Nautical Engineering
Innovation, sustainability, and advanced engineering are the core pillars of the Physis PEB project, the team from the Politecnico di Milano established with the goal of designing and developing a racing boat powered by a 100% eco-sustainable propulsion system.
To support design, simulation, and technical development activities, the team relies on MSI business solutions to handle complex engineering workflows and applied research tasks.
Thanks to the PRO DP180 desktop, students are able to manage 3D modeling software, CFD/FEM simulations, and electronic design applications, accelerating the development phases of the electric catamaran and optimizing multidisciplinary collaboration across the different divisions of the team.
The Physis PEB project involves more than 80 students organized into multiple divisions, ranging from technical departments to design and business units, all working together on the development of new technologies, innovative materials, and alternative propulsion systems aimed at reducing environmental impact without compromising performance.
Through this collaboration, MSI actively supports the next generation of engineers and innovators, helping transform ambitious ideas into real-world, high-tech projects.
