Once you turn on your Windows device for the first time, you will see the Windows Out of Box Experience (OOBE).

During the OOBE there will be a window popping up saying “Join Game Pass Premium for only $14.99 a month”.

Two months of Xbox Game Pass Essential are included with your device. You may optionally upgrade to the Premium plan.

Step 1 : Turn on Xbox App from your Windows taskbar.

Step 2 : Enter the Xbox App, you will see a window popping up saying “You’ve got free PC Game Pass!”. Click “SIGN IN TO CLAIM”.
Note: If you click “MAYBE LATER” at this step, and would like to claim it later, you may see the steps here

Step 1 : Turn on Xbox App from your Windows taskbar.

Step 2 : You will see “This device includes Game Pass Essential!”

Step 3 : Click “Redeem” button

Step 4 : You will direct to the Microsoft Store for the next step.

Step 1 : Turn on Microsoft Store App from your Windows taskbar or by redirecting from the Xbox app.

Step 2 : Click “Library” in the lower left side menu.

Step 3 : After entering “Library”, you will see “Xbox Game Pass Essential | Xbox Game Pass Core", then click “Claim".

Step 4 : Click “Get Started! Add a way to pay.”

Step 5 : Credit card required. Unless you cancel, you will be charged the current subscription rate when the initial subscription trial period ends.
