The MPG CORELIQUID K Series is MSI’s latest liquid cooler. It’s packed with many powerful and unique functions and features, made possible in conjunction with the MSI Center. In this blog post, we aim to showcase all the details you’ll encounter when using the latest MSI Center for the MPG CORELIQUID K Series and teach you how to easily navigate them.
This tutorial blog post will be separated into two parts: LCD DISPLAY and FAN SETTING. In LCD DISPLAY, you will learn how to customize the MPG CORELIQUID K Series’ LCD in different ways, and in FAN SETTING you will learn how to control the MPG CORELIQUID K Series’ fans to the most suitable setting for your usage.


LCD DISPLAY

LCD DISPLAY

The brightness adjustment button is located in the top right corner. Simply click into it and drag to adjust the brightness. Note that this is used to adjust the brightness of the LCD of the liquid cooler’s water block instead of the computer screen’s brightness.


Direction

We know that people mount their water blocks differently, so to accommodate that the rotation of the water block can be adjusted in the software as well. Click the Direction button on the top right to choose the correction water block direction.


hardware monitor

The hardware monitor allows users to display system hardware information on the water block. Users can choose information related to CPU, GPU, or Fan Speed. Note that you can only choose up to three items, which will be shown in rotation on the water block. If you wish to switch up what you choose, you need to click on a selected item to deselect it, then you can reselect other items.


bit more creative and lively with the LC

In image, users get to be a bit more creative and lively with the LCD. There are three preset GIFs and three preset image files that can be used. Note that these files cannot be deleted.


image of your own liking

If you wish to choose an image of your own liking, that’s fine too. Just make sure that it’s a 240 x 320px BMP file. You can load up to 6 image files of your liking. If you wish to load more images then you need to delete previous images first as it only holds up to 12 files at most.


customize banner

In customize banner, there are four preset banners for you to choose from. You can also choose to upload your own banner as long as it’s a 240 x 320px BMP file. The main difference between image and banner is that you can have texts show up on the LCD. Up to 61 English letters can be typed.


system clock

You can also choose to display system clock on the LCD. There are three clock styles to choose from, and the displayed time will be the current time of your computer system.


FAN SETTING

In FAN SETTING you can adjust the radiator fans’ speed according to your preference. Choose from preset settings or manually adjust the fans’ curve to your liking.

Balance mode is a preset mode that gives you the perfect balance between cooling performance and silent operation.


Silent

Silent mode is a preset mode that lowers the fan curve significantly to lower the fans’ speed so that the fans won’t make as much noise.


Game Mode

Game Mode is a preset mode that provides you with the cooling performance you need while gaming. It pulls up the fan curve to speed up the fans’ RPM so that the fans can provide enough airflow for cooling.oise.


Customize

Customize mode gives you the most freedom in deciding what you want to get out of your system. You can freely adjust the fan curve of the radiator fans, pump fan, and water block fan to your liking.

You can also independently control the fan curve of the radiator fans. Simply unlink the fans and click into each fan where the red box is. You can freely control the fan speed of each radiator fan.


GI Mode

The GI Mode is a unique function of the MPG CORELIQUID K Series. In GI Mode, the temperature of the CPU is detected and the fans’ curve will be automatically adjusted accordingly. If the CPU temperature is high, then the fans’ curve will rise and vice versa. If the CPU temperature is running low, the radiator can even only have one fan running to decrease the amount of noise being made. Note that when a fan/fans stopped moving in GI Mode, it is normal and shouldn’t be treated as a product malfunction.

The MPG CORELIQUID K Series’ powerful features are made possible thanks to the MSI Center. However, it is important to know that the MSI Center only functions when the MPG CORELIQUID K Series is paired with the Intel 500 Series motherboard. Otherwise, you need to use the Dragon Center with the Coreliquid APP.
