MAG CORELIQUID 240RH and MAG CORELIQUID 360RH are equipped with MSI'
s exclusive multifunctional hub. The liquid cooler adjusts the CPU temperature and keeps the CPU running at high efficiency. The Hub detects the internal temperature of the system and adjusts the system fan speed to assist with the internal temperature adjustment of the chassis and keep the system stable. In addition, the hub can also help you install system more efficiently and conveniently. We recommend that the system fan be plugged into the hub, and the power pins of the liquid cooler's fans to be plugged into the motherboard to achieve the best thermal sensing effect for the CPU and the overall system.
You can do the following functions through Hub:
- Control the system fan curve through MSI Dragon Center to help with system cooling.
- Control fan ARGB lighting effects through MSI Mystic Light or other brands' ARGB software.
- Connect the LED switch cable or the reset switch cable from the chassis to easily switch the ARGB control's method (using the system's software control or the built-in ARGB effect of the Hub) and fast switching of the fans' speed.
- With the liquid cooler's built-in adapter cable, the ARGB cable and power cable are integrated and connected to the rear of the chassis, reducing the cable installation on the front motherboard and maintaining the simplicity of the front of the system.

Hub and related accessories
The following is MAG CORELIQUID RH Hub's accessories' and connection ports' information.
A. DC Jack to SATA power cable: provides power to the hub
B. USB Type C to USB 2.0 cable: connect the MSI Dragon Center software control between the motherboard and the hub
C. Thermal Sensor Cable: attach the cable's connector end to the surface of other parts within the case to sense the temperature of the parts, and use MSI Dragon Center or the built-in fan curve in the hub to control the speed of the fans connected to the Hub.
D. JRAINBOW cable: connect other brands motherboards and hubs, and control the fans' ARGB lighting through other brands' ARGB control software

How to Install the Hub?
When you have a MAG CORELIQUID 240RH or MAG CORELIQUID 360RH and MSI Motherboard, you can refer to the following instructions to install the hub and connect it to the Motherboard (the sequence of cable assembly and hub installation onto the chassis can be adjusted according to the actual assembly process), and adjust the ARGB lighting and automatically detect system temperature to adjust the system fans speed through the MSI Dragon Center. Step 1. Plug the DC Jack to SATA power cable, USB Type C to USB 2.0 cable, Thermal sensor cable, LED switch cable, Fan ARGB cable, and Fan Power cable onto the hub

Step 2. The method of locking the hub locking is the same as that of the 2.5” HDD. Use the 2.5” HDD tray attached to the chassis to lock the HDD tray to the hub. Then fixate the hub to the rear of the chassis (the installation method is based on the actual chassis configuration so details may vary).
When you use MAG CORELIQUID 240RH and MAG CORELIQUID 360RH with other brand's motherboards, you can only connect the JRAINBOW cable to the hub to adjust the fan's ARGB lighting effects and connect the thermal sensor cable to adjust the system fan speed through the hub's preset Fan Curve. Hub Control Mode / Motherboard Sync Mode Switch
When you install the hub with the system fan, you can use the LED switch button or reset button on the chassis (you need to connect the LED switch cable or reset switch cable to the hub first) to use the hub control mode or the motherboard sync mode.
Hub Control Mode
The functions of hub control include control of the fans' ARGB lighting and adjustment of fan speed to 50% speed. The hub is equipped with 15 fan lighting effects and you can adjust the lighting of the ARGB fans through the LED switch button or reset switch button. The order of the control lighting effects and the switch is as follows: Rainbow scrolling > Red > Green > Blue > Violet > Cyan > Yellow > White > Rainbow scrolling > Red color scrolling > Rainbow breathing > Red-color breathing > Rainbow flashing > Red-color flashing > Rainbow flowing > ARGB light off > ARGB light on and return to beginning。
Motherboard Sync Mode
In addition to being controlled by the hub, it can be connected to the motherboard through the hub so that the fans ARGB lighting and the fans' speed can be adjusted through the MSI Dragon Center.
The switch between the hub and the motherboard sync mode is activated by long pressing the LED switch button. The time it takes to switch the MSI motherboard and other motherboards are different.
To use MSI Motherboard: Long press for 3 seconds to switch
To use other motherboards: long press for 6 seconds to switch
In the hub control mode, long press for 9 seconds to quickly switch to adjust the fan speed to 50% speed.
Thermal sensor cable Temperature Detection & Fan Curve Adjustment Instructions
One of the purposes of the hub is to detect the system temperature through the thermal sensor cable and adjust the system fans' speed accordingly. The hub must be connected to the thermal sensor cable for temperature sensing. When the thermal sensor cable is not used, the hub will preset the fan to rotate at full speed. The thermal sensor cable provides two sensing points, which can be connected onto the heating parts inside the chassis. The fan speed control is performed on the two different sensing points inside the MSI Dragon Center, but only one set of fan speed can be executed at a time. The main sticking position is recommended to be on the MOSFET/Choke around the CPU or the graphics card, because this is the where the temperature tends to be higher when the temperature rises.
To adjust the fan, you need to go through the MSI Dragon Center. The hub is connected to the motherboard via a USB Type C to USB 2.0 cable. After downloading the MSI Dragon Center, open the Dragon Center and locate the hub within Gaming Gear.
The default connects the hub to the fan curve setting of the User Scenario Profile in Dragon Center. You need to turn off Sync before you can manually adjust the fan curve.
The hub provides two fan curve adjustment modes: Smart Fan (PWM Mode) and Manual (DC Mode). You can make adjustments according to your needs. The adjusted Fan Curve data can be saved through Save Button and imported from Load Button. If you want to return to the default settings, you can press the Default Button to restore it. The thermal sensor cable provides 2 sensing points, which can be pasted on the heating parts inside the chassis' two core areas. In the software, you can mark the 2 detection points and check the detection points you want to be based on. After checking, the fan connected to the hub will adjust its speed according to the detected temperature.
If you are not using the MSI Motherboard, you can only adjust the fan speed based on the temperature detected by the thermal sensor cable through the fan curve preset in the Hub.
MSI Mystic Light ARGB Lighting Adjustments
The MAG CORELIQUID 240RH and MAG CORELIQUID 360RH's fans' or system fans can be controlled with MSI Mystic Light and implement ARGB Sync with other MSI devices through connection with the hub. After opening MSI Dragon Center, click Mystic Light. From the top, you can select hub for independent control. You can click Sync Button and other MSI peripherals for ARGB Sync.
