Some of you might already know that SONY PS5 does not fully support QHD resolution output at this moment. This means that if you use the conventional QHD monitor, you only can choose the FHD resolution output on the QHD screen, and the image quality will be worse. Nowadays, more and more consumers are choosing monitors instead of TVs to play console and PC games. For these users, the lack of QHD resolution output support is a hindrance.
MSI has heard the voices of these consumers and provided a relatively good solution. We designed an exclusive Console Mode for the consoles, which can automatically accept 4K signals on QHD monitor, and support HDR simultaneously. This gives you the best gaming experience and allows you to enjoy console games even with a QHD monitor.
To avoid consumers' concerns about whether their QHD displays support console HDR or not, we provided the following table for reference. We hope that this will increase the convenience of playing games.

2. PS5/Xbox FHD@120Hz compatibility
Another thing that makes everyone very curious is the latest feature of the 120FPS screen display. Many consumers say that they can’t find a way to set it in the game menu, asking about screen support of a 120FPS display with 144Hz or above monitor. Such postings are constantly appearing on various social platforms. This is why today, we are going to post a tutorial on how to use MSI's monitors to turn on the 120FPS screen display, and at the same time reveal what kind of MSI monitor can support FHD 120FPS screen display.
See the Following Steps:
1. Look for Saved Data and Game/App Settings from the Settings
2. Choose Performance Mode in the Game Presets
3. Restart the game and your game will run at the highest supported screen refresh rate.
Attached is the video link for the complete walkthrough. In the upper left corner, we turned on the built-in screen refresh rate detection function. The number displayed is the FPS displayed by the current game. The initial state is 60Hz. After completing the above steps, it will display 120Hz:
Including the steps of setup for Xbox:
See the Following Steps:
1. Look for General > TV & display options in the settings
2. Change the Display to 120Hz in TV & display options

*18th of December 2021 Update: Remove Optix MAG321CQR, Optix MAG273R, Optix MAG273 due to compatibility issue.
Additional Explanations :
Under HDMI™ 2.0 conditions: PS5 QHD resolution, Refresh Rate up to 60Hz.
Because the PS5/Xbox does not support 21:9 display, there will be black borders on the left and right of the screen, and the screen will not be scaled to maintain the best gaming experience for users.
The console mode will automatically detect, so there is no need to change any settings on the monitor.
If 120Hz cannot be achieved, please try turning off FreeSync and Raytracing in the settings.
