While using the system monitoring software (e.g. HWInfo, HW Monitor, GamePP...etc.), there could be an error or warning event occurring in the event viewer (see the capture below)





This is NOT an issue, but a status indicating that the communication attempts from the monitor tools fail to work. 



As some monitor tools try to collect specific data from the firmware, while the firmware doesn't have such support. Resulting in an unresponsive or time-out status recognized by the Windows system. 



Take HWInfo tool as an example; to avoid such error messages, disabling the EC support function in the settings page will stop the error from showing again.





  1. Go to the Settings page




  2. Navigate to the “Safety” tab – uncheck “EC Support” – Click OK





*If the monitor tool doesn't support a similar option, try to uninstall the tool temporarily to check if the error stops showing in the event viewer log.
