[Troubleshooting] Audio Crackling Sound

When experiencing audio crackling, stuttering, or distorted sound while playing videos, music, or during calls, follow the troubleshooting steps below one by one until the audio problem is resolved.
Update or reinstall your audio driver
Download the latest Audio Driver from MSI official website product page.

Turn off Windows Audio Enhancements
Right-click the speaker icon → [Sound Settings] → Playback device → [Properties] → Disable “Audio Enhancements”

Disable browser hardware acceleration
Browser Settings → System → Turn off “Use hardware acceleration when available”

Adjust power settings
Control Panel → Power Options → Advanced settings → PCI Express → Link State Power Management → Set to “Off”

Check Windows Update
Ensure the latest updates are installed
If the problem started after an update, try rolling back to a previous version
Cross-check with different audio devices
Use different audio output devices such as built-in speakers, headphones, Bluetooth, or a USB headset to perform a cross-validation test and confirm whether the issue is specifically linked to one device or all audio outputs.
