[Part I: Driver Clean Installation]

1. Go to the MSI official Support page, search for your model, select the “Driver” tab, then choose the “Graphics” category.

2. Download the “NVIDIA Graphics Driver” package and extract the files to the desktop.

Note: Disconnect the internet connection before installing the NVIDIA Graphics driver

    

 

3. Open the extracted driver folder.

    

4. Double-click “setup.exe” to launch the NVIDIA Graphics driver installer.

    

5. Click “Agree and Continue” to accept the license terms.

[Part II: Advanced Driver Clean Installation - DDU Tool]

A. Prepare Before Disconnecting the Network

3. Extract both the driver package and the DDU package to the desktop.

Note: Complete this step while still connected to the network, since downloading the driver and DDU both require internet access. The remaining steps in this part must be performed offline.

 

 

B. Uninstall the Current Driver

1. Disconnect the network by removing the LAN cable or disabling the wireless connection.

Note: Multiple system restarts may be required during this part; keep the notebook connected to power throughout.

2. Restart the notebook into Safe Mode.

3. Once in Safe Mode, open the extracted DDU folder and launch DDU. The DDU control panel opens.

4. Under Options, select “Remove PhysX”.

5. Select the NVIDIA GPU, then click “Clean and Restart” to uninstall the driver. The system restarts automatically once DDU finishes.

6. After the restart, confirm in Device Manager that the display adapter now shows as “Microsoft Basic Display Adapter”, indicating the driver was removed successfully.

          

 

C. Install the New NVIDIA Driver

1. Open the driver folder extracted in Part A, and double-click “setup.exe” to launch the installer.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
