MSI and Institute for Information Industry Launch Strategic Partnership: Advancing AI PCs and Edge AI Use Cases to Accelerate Intelligent Transformation of Corporates

To speed up the adoption of AI PC and Edge AI technologies by corporates and in different verticals, MSI, a global leader in gaming and high-performance computing, announced today (July 16) a strategic partnership with the Institute for Information Industry (III). Together, the two organizations will drive AI innovation and industrial applications by combining MSI's expertise in AI PCs, Edge AI computing devices, and product integration with the III's strengths in industry demand analysis, software solutions, and real-world deployment. By creating integrated hardware-software demo projects, the partnership aims to expedite the validation and deployment of on-premises AI applications for enterprises.

The collaboration will focus on three initiatives. First, the two parties will jointly establish an Edge AI industry platform to foster cross-industry innovation by demonstrating the models for corporates to rapidly adopt on-premises AI applications. Second, MSI's AI PCs and Edge AI computing devices will serve as the infrastructure for development of proof-of-concept (PoC) enterprise scenarios to help organizations gradually deploy on-premises AI while ensuring data security, real-time responsiveness, and seamless integration with existing workflows. Third, the two parties will design the hardware-software architecture by integrating the III's EdgeMind AI KM solutions into common requirements across different verticals, so as to enhance the alignment between AI tools and real-world enterprise operations.

As generative AI and large language models continue to evolve rapidly, enterprise demand for AI has expanded beyond cloud-based services to on-premises deployment. How to embrace AI within existing IT environments while maintaining internal data sovereignty, information security, real-time performance, and workflow integration has become a critical priority for enterprises pursuing digital transformation and intelligent upgrades.

Under the partnership framework, MSI will provide AI PCs and Edge AI computing devices as the core hardware foundation for enterprise on-premises AI deployments. The III will assist companies in assessing AI implementation requirements, identifying appropriate use cases, evaluating data readiness, and analyzing operational workflows by applying its EdgeMind AI KM solutions to connect with existing knowledge management, document retrieval capabilities, AI agents, and intelligent workflow support in the corporate world. The goal is to reduce the barriers to progressing from AI proof-of-concept to production and deployment and to accelerate AI adoption in enterprise environments.

This exhibition features MSI's compact AI computing device integrated with the III's EdgeMind AI KM solutions, showcasing the potential of on-premises AI in enterprise knowledge management, knowledge retrieval, AI agents, and real-time inference. The integration of hardware and software and the validation of real-world use cases enable companies to better understand how on-premises AI can be deployed. This demonstration serves as the foundation for expanding these solutions across a wide range of industries.
