Although VTubers might look like they’re chilling and goofing around with their audience, there’s a ton of work that goes into making it happen. From creating 2D/3D avatars and accurate, real-time motion tracking to playing and streaming demanding games at the same time, you need a decent mix of powerful hardware and reliable software.
We’ve crafted a list of parts for the bare minimum hardware that you should have to start your own VTubing journey. Keep in mind, they have to be powerful enough to tackle typical VTuber workloads like gaming, streaming, and even some video editing.
Processor: 14th & 13th Gen Intel Core i5 or Core i7
When it comes to handling VTuber workloads like streaming, motion capture software, etc., you need an excellent mix of both single and multi-core performance. Don’t dip below a modern Intel Core i5 for this kind of work, and ideally, try grabbing something like an Intel Core i7 for a more premium experience.
