The latest Windows 11 build has enhanced the level of system security settings by default, which can block initial access from biometric devices.



If the Windows Hello setup can not work properly on a self-installed Windows 11 system, follow the steps below to disable the core isolation settings to solve the problem.



Symptom 1: Fingerprint recognition shows the option is currently unavailable.





Symptom 2: Facial Recognition setup in Windows Hello cannot be complete due to the human face is not detected by the IR camera. 





"Core Isolation" Disable Steps:



1. Press the Windows key, type "Core isolation", and launch



2. Switch to set "Off" for Memory Integrity



3. Click "Yes" to allow the change.



4. Restart the system to take effect.



    



Note. The default setting is enabled for MSI Notebooks that come with pre-installed systems.
