Image resolution is the detail an image holds. The term applies to raster images, film images, and other types of images. Higher resolution means more image detail. Resolution measurements can be tied to real-world physical sizes. The images in a personal computer can be resized and edited with photo and video processing software (such as Adobe Photoshop, Photo Impact).
