Microsoft system comes with a myriad of preloaded software. Here we will introduce some commonly used programs.
Windows Hello Face Sign-In
Windows Hello face is a personalized sign-in option that is more secured. With facial recognition, it enables access to your Windows 10 device in real time. Windows Hello requires a compatible infrared camera to support this function. Once the setup is completed, you may login with the face scan function.
1. Setup a PIN
Single click on Windows [settings] icon.
Single click on [Accounts].
On [Sign-in options] please select [Windows Hello PIN].
Click on [Add] button to input a new PIN and press OK to continue.
2. Set up face login with IR camera
On sign-in options, click on [Windows Hello Face].
After clicking [Get Started], aim your face at the camera and wait until Windows prompts for success.
Cortana
Click on [Cortana].
1. Change Cortana icon.
2. Check microphone to ensure it recognizes user’s voice.
3. Turn Cortana on or off.
4. Keyboard shortcut to turn Cortana on or off.
5. Turn Cortana on or off when screen is locked.
Magnifier
Click on Ease of Access.
Click on Magnifier to view related settings.
1. Turn Magnifier on or off.
2. Change Magnifier zoom level.
3. Change Magnifier zoom increments.
