Look at that – it’s the start of a brand-new year, and as expected, CES 2024 is upon us.
CES, or the Consumer Electronics Show, is the world’s premier event for showcasing the latest innovations in consumer electronics. It brings together manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, and developers annually to exhibit new products and trends – making it one of the most important events in the consumer electronics space.
Like every year, MSI is proud to be an integral part of CES 2024 and will feature a variety of innovative products at its booth.
In our roundup of MSI PC components at CES 2024, you’ll find more details about our PROJECT ZERO motherboards and cases, a premium Z790 motherboard, magnetic fans, and so much more!
MSI PROJECT ZERO Motherboards and Cases – Making Cables Disappear with Back-Connect
Let’s face it. Every PC builder picks a case with a sleek tempered glass side panel to show off their build and gorgeous PC hardware. However, cables often mar this otherwise super-satisfying view! What’s more, hiding them away in nooks and crannies takes quite a bit of time.
MSI’s PROJECT ZERO started out with the goal of allowing PC builders to own the cleanest PC build possible. It features components that can be connected to cables at the back – leaving the front free and clear!
As part of this endeavor, we’ll showcase some incredible PROJECT ZERO motherboards and cases that facilitate a cable-free build.
The PROJECT ZERO motherboards move ALL connections to the back of the board. With these motherboards, you’ll find that all connectors, like the 24-pin power, CPU power, fan headers, SATA, and more, have been moved to the back of the motherboard. You can route cables from your PSU, case, and SATA devices directly to the back of the board – leaving the front of the motherboard completely clean and cable-free!
However, these motherboards don’t do well in cases that aren’t designed to accommodate PROJECT Zero parts. So, we’ll also feature a selection of gorgeous PROJECT ZERO PC Cases that complement these motherboards and are engineered to keep your final build completely free of cables.
The MAG PANO M100R PZ is a particularly stunning PC case with its 270-degree Panoramic tempered glass panel for maximum visibility. It also boasts three pre-installed 120mm Reverse-blade fans on the side and one 120mm fan at the rear for looks and airflow. You can also pick between black and white variants of this case to proudly showcase the aesthetic you want in your clean PC build.
Here’s a list of PROJECT ZERO PC components you’ll find at CES 2024:

CES 2024 Innovation Award Honoree
MSI has a long-standing history of being recognized at CES with awards and honors, and this year is no exception! Here are the two PC components that won the Innovation Award Honoree at CES 2024.
MEG Z790 ACE MAX Motherboard
The ACE line of motherboards from MSI has always struck a balance between top-tier features and value, and the MEG Z790 ACE MAX motherboard continues the tradition and takes it a step further. This year, it was recognized as a CES 2024 Innovation Award Honoree for its innovative set of features.
The MEG Z790 ACE MAX has an ACE motherboard’s signature look, with a sleek black finish and silver highlights, and is designed to accommodate Intel’s 14th, 13th, and 12th Generation Core Processors.
Like other Z790 MAX motherboards, it boasts built-in Wi-Fi 7 and PCIe Gen 5, in addition to dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, for lightning-fast connectivity. It also boasts a premium thermal design with a Stacked Fin Array and Cross Heatpipe – ensuring top-notch performance without thermal limitations!
Completely tool-free magnetic M.2 slots on the motherboard make your life much easier by eliminating tools from the process of installing and removing your M.2 storage drives.
MAG CORELIQUID E Series
The MAG CORELIQUID E Series of AIO Liquid Coolers is inspired by the passing of time and the shape of the solar eclipse – combining advanced cooling technology with a striking visual design.
It boasts an enlarged copper base and more micro-channels to tame even the most demanding CPUs on the market without generating excessive noise.
A rotatable waterblock (270 degrees) allows you the flexibility to accommodate other components and case designs without compromising looks or cooling performance. You can also use MSI Center to quickly tweak settings like the Pump and Fan’s RPM or the Radiator Fan and Water Block’s lighting.
A Glimpse into the Future @ CES 2024: Fans, Liquid Cooler, and Power Supply
In addition to the components listed above, MSI will also showcase some products you’ll only find on shelves later in 2024.
MPG EZ120 ARGB Fans
Connecting fans can create an absolute mess of cables, which is compounded when you need to add 2 or 3 fans to your Liquid AIO cooler. Our efforts towards cleaner, better-looking builds with PROJECT ZERO rely on eliminating cables wherever possible, and the MPG EZ120 ARGB fans further this goal!
You’ll find magnetic connector blocks on the edge of every fan. This magnetic connector integrates PWM and ARGB connections – allowing you to daisy chain several fans without any wiring between them. The included fan Control Hub supports up to 18 fans, which can be split into two control groups for better control over your cooling setup. Not only do the MPG EZ120 ARGB fans minimize cables within your PC, but it also simplifies the PC building experience.
The MPG EZ120 ARGB Fans can also use a brand-new header (found on Z790 MAX motherboards) to bring down clutter even further – JAF1. This hybrid header serves as a dual-purpose PWM and ARGB header to save space and further cuts down on the number of cables you need to run to your motherboard.
The fan itself is meticulously designed to deliver top-notch cooling performance with a Double Nut Fixing Structure for higher speeds and lower noise. In fact, our tests show that even at speeds of up to 2000 RPM, the noise level stays around 28.7 dBA.
MAG CORELIQUID I Series Liquid Cooler
Another new product that you can see at our CES booth this year is the gorgeous MAG CORELIQUID I Series AIO Liquid Cooler. It boasts an infinity mirror effect on the water block and looks stunning, especially in a PC that’s not obstructed by any cables.
It also features Gen 2 ARGB fans that can sync their lighting to MSI motherboards without any hassle – ensuring a uniform aesthetic across your PC.
MAG A1250GL/A1000GL PCIE5 Power Supply
In response to the recent updates to the PCIe power spec by PCI-SIG, MSI’s MAG A1250GL/A1000GL PCIE5 Power Supplies will be fully PCIe 5.1 compliant and feature a redesigned 12V-2x6 connector with shorter ‘SENSE’ pins. This change will offer peace of mind to PC builders as an unseated/loose plug will stop delivering power immediately.
In addition to this redesigned spec, MSI’s native 16-pin power plug features a dual-color design to ensure PC builders can plug power into their graphics cards and instantly tell whether it’s fully seated.
Both the MAG A1250GL and A1000GL power supplies can handle up to 3x GPU power excursions and 2x total system power excursions without breaking a sweat – making them ideal for top-tier RTX 40-series graphics cards from NVIDIA. They’re also certified 80-PLUS Gold to guarantee excellent power efficiency.
