Artificial Intelligence has been gaining a lot of traction. NVIDIA has been invested in AI technology research for several years now, so you probably heard of RTX DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling). It can help gamers get an improved game experience and better image quality. Today, we are going to introduce another powerful tool that can help you stream smoothly without interruption. Please follow the instructions to set up the NVIDIA Broadcast application, part of the NVIDIA Studio suite of exclusive tools.
Configure your video and audio devices in NVIDIA Broadcast..
Your MSI Gaming Desktop comes pre-loaded with the NVIDIA Broadcast app. To open, type “NVIDIA Broadcast” in the search bar.
The application offers 3 categories of AI-powered features: microphone, speaker, and camera. These components are important for streaming, video chatting, and voice communication. The first step is to assign the hardware in the application as shown in the red frames in the pictures. Then we can enable the effects.
We need to assign the hardware for optimization as shown above. Here is an example for microphone.
After assigning the hardware, we can enable NVIDIA Broadcast effects.
Camera effects can be observed in the preview window.

NVIDIA Broadcast provides AI-enhanced voice and video effects to help improve your live streams, voice chats, and video conference calls. You’re just a few clicks away from finishing up. Let’s go!
1. Noise and Echo Removal
Just as work and home are coming together, so are artistry and technology. Streamlining your Work from Home workflow is now more important than ever. With NVIDIA Broadcast, you can enable noise removal or room echo removal to remove distracting background noise. The AI technology will help create the best audio quality when you listen to or speak with people.
Remember that the effects need to be switched on to activate, and you can adjust the strength of improvement depending on your needs. However, noise removal and room echo removal strength are synced together and cannot be adjusted separately.
After applying the effects, you can test it out by recording sound.
You can also listen to the sound after the effects have been applied.
2. Virtual Background
Customize your background. Building a green screen can be complicated and requires additional equipment and space. With NVIDIA Broadcast, you can automatically apply background and video effects using the power of AI without the need for a physical green screen or any additional software.
- Background Blur
Blur the background to let the audiences focus more on you, and ignore other unnecessary objects.
- Background Replacement
Replace the background with a custom image or video without the need for a physical green screen.
- Background removal
Remove your background effortlessly.
3. Video noise removal
Improve the look of your feed when streaming or video chatting from a dark environment.
4. Auto Frame
Dynamically track your movements in real-time with Auto Frame, automatically cropping and zooming so you remain the star of the show — even as you move around.
5. Eye contact
Use AI to make it appear as if you’re looking directly at the camera, even when glancing to the side or taking notes.
NVIDIA Broadcast Supported Platforms
Most users use Twitch or OBS to stream and use Skype, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams to communicate. How can I apply those AI effects to these applications? In each application, set your camera or microphone to “NVIDIA Broadcast” and then the effects will be applied. Shown below is an example of when we use Skype for communication.
Open settings and then navigate to the audio & video page, and change the camera and microphone to “NVIDIA Broadcast”. NVIDIA Broadcast supports most streaming/video conferencing applications, including (but not limited to) Discord, OBS Studio, Streamlabs, XSplit Broadcaster, Gamecaster, Twitch Studio, WebEx, Zoom, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Skype, and even Google Chrome.
